AIM FEATURED DATA ARCHIVE

13 October 2009

The image here compares the albedo from the new method to the v3.20 (currently operational) albedo for orbit 3660 in December, 2007. The top panel is the new retrieval, the middle panel is v3.20 PX albedo, and the bottom panel is v3.20 PY/MY albedo. Note that the background signal, which is a prominent artifact in v3.20 (blue shading that shows the camera edges), has been nearly completely removed with the new processing (black regions, indicating zero albedo).
