As we approach the 500th day of the mission (on Friday, Sep 5), the spacecraft continues to operate nominally. The uplink receiver bitlock was very sporadic with only three minutes of bitlock over a 12-day period. Then on Saturday, Aug 23rd, we had several long periods of bitlock and we were able to load all the necessary commands.
SOFIE: Processing and validation of release 1 continues. Two events in the data just reviewed had issues with the H2O profiles and these two events were not released. Over the entire mission almost all events (other than the 13 arcmin data) have been released. The new boresight positions were uploaded, but are still not active. Otherwise, SOFIE is still operating nominally.
CIPS continues to operate nominally. All four cameras are returning excellent data.
All CDE operations remain nominal.
