2006 AIM/GLOBE/CloudSat Educator Workshop Participants - Washington
Hi! I'm Susan Armbruster, a native
of Washington State. I'm a 5 th grade teacher at a private
school just outside of Tacoma. I'm also a huge science
fanatic…. I will go to the ends of the Earth
for a good science workshop - and love travel and camping
as well. On the weekends you will find me hiking at
Mt Rainier or caving in the lava tubes at Mt St Helens.
(The picture of me is at Comet Falls, Mt Rainier National
Park, Washington.) There is nothing more spiritual to
me than being in the woods with old growth trees. I'm
hoping to do some hiking in Alaska - if at all possible.
I'm looking forward to meeting and networking with all
involved in AIM. See you there!

Personally, I am an organic gardener, a yoga enthusiast for six years, pathetically addicted to Survivor and CSI, a hiker, a skier, grandma to three granddaughters, a closet trash novel reader and avid traveler. (Last year we backpacked around Spain.) My hubby and I will cruise back home from this workshop. I’m excited to meet a whole slew of new friends who are as passionate about science as I am. See you in July!
